C’est un pèlerinage affreux auquel devraient assister les Vert et Noir de Kindu qui, invraisemblablement se voient contraints de jouer la queue aux Aigles dans cette phase aller.Les Kamikazes par contre avec sept matchs et 7 points au compteur sont à trois points d’un TP Mazembe tout aussi nonchalant que vacillant. The Unionists, playing their ninth game in these playoffs, totally messed up at the worst possible time. Those are points they will definitely regret, especially in this back and forth battle they’re having with FC les Aigles du Congo, sitting pretty in second place with 18 points and two games less (8 in total) compared to them with only nine so far. Daula Lupembe (eighth in the rankings) pulled off a major upset by frustrating Kimoto, who will no doubt be hoping for a loss by the Samourais on Sunday in a brotherly derby against Daring Club Motema Pembe to somehow hold onto the top spot temporarily, even though it seems like it’s pretty much over for them. It’s a real nightmare for the Green and Blacks of Kindu, who unbelievably find themselves playing catch-up to the Aigles in this first phase. On the other hand, the Kamikazes, with seven matches and 7 points, are three points behind a TP Mazembe that’s just as lazy and shaky. If they manage to win their next game, the pressure will really be on the crows who are in seventh place with 10 points.
So, yeah, it’s not looking too good for AS Maniema after that disappointing draw against AS Simba. They really needed to step up their game, but it’s like they just couldn’t get it together this time around. And now, they’re in a tough spot, especially with FC les Aigles du Congo breathing down their necks. I mean, who would’ve thought Daula Lupembe would come out of nowhere and shake things up like that? It’s a real wake-up call for AS Maniema, that’s for sure. And let’s not forget about the Kamikazes, who are slowly but surely closing in on TP Mazembe. If they keep this up, who knows what could happen? The pressure is on for everyone, and it’s definitely going to be an interesting ride from here on out.
